42: Samos Volunteers – „No one ever wants to be in a situation like this“

Episode Summary

This is the biggest NGO on Samos with around 25 volunteers from around the world plus community volunteers providing shelter, classes and assistance in a center near the camp. Winter is coming. „Temperatures can drop to five degrees and it can rain for three days in a row“, says Corien Tiemersma, „most people live in tents, everything is wet and they will be cold all the time“. That’s why NGO’s like Samos Volunteers are much needed. Not to forget volunteers who want to help out under these circumstances. This is a call to action: apply, if you’re interested.
